I only took up crocheting a few years ago.
My grandmother tried to teach me but somehow I was never able to crochet anything. That is until I discovered the granny square a few years back. How funny is that?
My local crafts store had a free beginners pattern for a simple granny square. I tried it and have been hooked ever since!
I have made (and still make) blankets, pillow cases, coasters, tissue box covers, table decorations, Christmas stockings and a Christmas (though I use it all year round) table-cloth.
