Cocked hat

Hello Everyone!

Here’s a new hat pattern which you can use for Thomas Doll, Thomas Duck, Annabel Doll and Annabel Duck.

Cocked hat

Top

  • Cast on 36 sts.
  • Beginning with a K row, g-st 8 rows.
  • K1, K2tog, K13, K2tog x2, K13, K2tog, K1 (32sts).
  • G-st 3 rows.
  • K1, K2tog, K11, K2tog x2, K11, K2tog, K1 (28 sts).
  • G-st 3 rows.
  • K1, K2tog, K9, K2tog x2, K9, K2tog, K1 (24 sts).
  • P 1 row.
  • K1, K2tog, K7, K2tog x2, K7, K2tog, K1 (20 sts).
  • P 1 row.
  • K1, K2tog, K5, K2tog x2, K5, K2tog, K1 (16 sts).
  • P 1 row.
  • K1, K2tog, K3, K2tog x2, K3, K2tog, K1 (12 sts).
  • P 1 row.
  • K1, K2tog, K1, K2tog x2, K1, K2tog, K1 (8 sts).
  • P 1 row.
  • Don’t cut off the thread.IMG_5874

Brim

  • Cast on 36 sts.
  • K 2 rows.
  • Increase in every second st (54 sts).
  • K 3rows.
  • Increase in every third st (72 sts).
  • Cast off, leaving a long end.
  • Close up the brim at the back seam but don’t cut off the thread.IMG_5873

Finishing

  • Using the long thread from the brim, sew the brim to the top piece, weave in the ends and cut them off.
  • With the long thread from the top piece, sew the hat to the head at the first row in hat colour.IMG_5886
