This is a basic hummus recipe which I have tweaked over the years.
I make it nearly every week and it was also part of the picnic I prepared for a friend and my menu for the Joyful Warrior Healthy Menu Planning Challenge.
Ingredients (makes about 550 g)
- 2 400 g tins chick peas
- 2 large cloves of garlic
- 6 tsp tahini
- 12 tbsp olive oil
- Put all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until fully combined and smooth.
- Don’t add all the oil at once but keep adding as you go along until you got the consistency you like.
- Serve in small bowls with plates of nacho’s, carrot and cucumber sticks.
